Everything You Need to Know

It was established in 2006 to expand medical education and advanced healthcare services in the tribal?dominated Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, improving access to tertiary care in a previously underserved area.

The college offers the MBBS program (5½ years including internship) with an annual intake of 125 students, recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Admission is based on NEET?UG, with seats filled through All India Quota (15%) counselling and Chhattisgarh state counselling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education.

The college is attached to a 500?bed multi?specialty teaching hospital on campus, offering services such as emergency, OPD/IPD, intensive care, trauma, and specialty departments — providing broad clinical exposure in real patient settings.

Students benefit from modern lecture halls, well?equipped labs, central library with digital resources, separate hostels for boys and girls, sports and recreation facilities, and a supportive academic environment.

As the only major tertiary healthcare and teaching center in the Bastar area within ~300 km, the college plays a key role in serving tribal and rural populations while giving students exposure to diverse clinical cases.
