Student life in BAMS universities in India is characterized by modern infrastructure, superior amenities, and relatively higher tuition fees. Deemed universities often provide advanced libraries, digital laboratories, simulation centers, and well-maintained hostels, offering a resource-rich environment compared to many government institutions. While the curriculum is regulated by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), deemed universities have flexibility to design and update programs, resulting in structured timetables and continuous assessments. These institutions also emphasize extracurricular engagement through seminars, clinical workshops, research projects, and cultural activities, contributing to overall development. Many deemed universities have attached multi-specialty Ayurvedic hospitals with substantial patient inflow, providing hands-on clinical exposure from early years. The environment encourages research, case discussions, internships, and skill-based training, preparing students for independent practice or higher studies.
