The United Arab Emirates is a destination of wide range of universities, both private and public. The UAE has founded an excellent as well as diversified system of higher education in a very short period of time. Education is organised by the authorities in accordance with the primary, preparatory, secondary, technical, bachelor, master and doctoral level studies.

  • Technical Diploma: Technical diploma studies are created to provide students with broad spectrum of technological skills and knowledge. After completing this diploma a student is ready to get a job.Certificate or diploma are awarded to pursue further higher studies, normally it takes 6 years to complete.
  • Bachelors Program: Like other bachelor degrees awarded by other universities in the world, UAE universities also do the same. There are some hard and fast eligibility criteria to follow to get admission in bachelor degrees. These are graduate degrees awarded after a period of study lasting for 4 to 6 years. All bachelor programs are defined according to the field of study and specialisation.
  • Masters Program: Universities in UAE offer a wide range of master degree programs in various disciplines. This master’s program enables students to progress to a doctorate level program. The program is defined in accordance with the field of study, specialisation and path. Each university in the United Arab Emirates has its own system on their website that allows future students to apply for and enrol in their degree programmes. So, once you select the university of your choice, you can go through their application and submit your materials there.
  • Doctorate Program: Masters degrees in the UAE are organised in a similar way to those in other parts of the world, with MA, MSc and MBA courses available at most institutions, a student can opt for doctoral study after successfully completing the course. Students are selected for the doctorate programs offered by UAE universities from their academics and previous educational background and research. The doctorate is awarded after a period of full time research study lasting 3-4 years.

Scholarships


The United Arab Emirates is mostly known for its high-quality education and employment. It is home to a number of the world’s best educational institutions in the world. The fact is – most of the universities are ranked by the QS World University Rankings outside of the EU and are situated in UAE.

However, study and living costs in UAE are not always affordable. Although tuition fees at public universities are quite low, you can get a scholarship, your studies will be smooth and easy. Year after year, the UAE Embassy in India along with other UAE organizations awards scholarships to all but 6,000 meritorious students from all over the world.

The scholarship amount would be no less than 30 Crore in INR. These scholarships amount are awarded to international applicants who want to pursue their higher studies in the United Arab Emirates and have excellent academic records with a limited number of funding options to study in the UAE.

The Ministry of United Arab Emirates awards a number of scholarships to international students, out of which 25 percent of the scholarships are financed directly by the Ministry itself in the framework of scholarship schemes. They are applicable for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral level programs, or other major programs.

1.  Outstanding Academic Excellence Scholarships

This scholarship is provided by the University of Wollongong in Dubai. The scholarship is offered at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. This scholarship provides a 10% – 40% contribution to their tuition fees. 

2.  International Student Tuition Scholarships

This scholarship is applicable for the most promising international students, either in Science or in Humanities, to follow a 2-3 years course by Wisconsin Stout University. Graduate students are awarded AED 22036 per academic year with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.

3.  Master Research Teaching Scholarship

The scholarships are given to excellent international students to enroll in its Master’s programs in the excellence of sciences offered by Khalifa University of Science and Technology. The monthly stipend provided is AED 4,000. 

4.  SP Jain Center of SPG Management Global MBA Program

The scholarship offered by S P Jain to the very selective students admitted to the MBA program. Almost 75% of courses can be covered with scholarship money. All participants receiving scholarships must maintain a required GPA and abide by the Code of Conduct.

5.  HH Sheikh Hamdan Scholarships

The scholarship programs offered by Abu Dhabi University promote access to its bachelor’s degree, especially nationally certified degree programs to international students, taught in its member establishments. The scholarship is AED 10,000 per year.

6.  Zayed University Undergraduate Merit Scholarship

The Zayed University Undergraduate Merit Scholarship is given to national and international students for bachelor’s degrees in any discipline on the basis of their academic performance. It is up to 50% of the tuition fee may get covered with this scholarship. 

7.  Multicultural Student Scholarship

The scholarships support a scholarship program for international students who wish to pursue an international bachelor’s or master’s program at the University of UAE. The grant amounts to AED 36727 per year.
