Intakes for Study in the UK in the Near Future
The academic year at UK universities typically runs from September to July. Like in the US and Canada, universities and colleges in the UK accept students in three different “intakes” each year.
United Kingdom Education Types
There are four levels of education in the United Kingdom. Children aged 5 to 7 take part in Key Stage 1; those aged 7 to 11 in Key Stage 2; those aged 11 to 14 in Key Stage 3; and those aged 14 to 16 in Key Stage 4. However, the following majors tend to attract the most foreign students:
Undergraduate: The first level of education is the three-year Bachelor of Arts or Science degree. Most graduates get honors designations.
In Wales, England, and Northern Ireland, the duration is three years. In many Scottish universities, this might take four years.
It might take longer to graduate from certain vocational or professional schools. As an example, it may take six years to graduate from a medical or dental school.
